The majority of his fundraising experience stems from the time spent volunteering for the American Cancer Society, which began in 1997. Since then, he is credited with raising over 50 million dollars for many American Cancer Society projects/endeavors. It was through his efforts that the American Cancer Society was able to provide the first and only Hope Lodge in Texas. Don served as the Capital Campaign Chairman for the Hope Lodge in Lubbock as well as serving as Chairman of the American Cancer Society Board of Directors for 7 years. He has also served on the Major Gifts Committee, the National Gala Task Force and was the chairman for the 1998 Lubbock Cattle Baron’s Ball. The American Cancer Society has recognized Don with various awards including the Spirit of Hope Award, the Silver Spur and the prestigious Life Time Achievement Award.
During his many years as an American Cancer Society volunteer, Don decided he wanted to do more to find a cure for cancer. After learning about translational cancer research (clinical trials) at Texas Tech University, he founded the Cure Cancer Foundation, and has raised more than $11M for researchers at Texas Tech.

Dr. Clarence Johnson, PhD
Clarence Johnson was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in a household where education was encouraged, and love for others was emphasized. Much of my joy in life came while attending John Adams High School. I met many outstanding people and forged friendships that still exist to this day. I believe that my experiences there are instrumental in my current success.
I am a member of the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry (ISPE). ISPE is the third oldest high IQ society in the world after Mensa (98%) and Intertel (99%). The only criterion for admission is a score on any standard psychometric test of intelligence reflecting ability at the 99.9th percentile. I have an IQ of 180 which is the reason that I was admitted into the society.
In addition, I have also written several books, including the book Business Statistics: Clearly Explained, which is a textbook that is being used at a major university. My goal is to help students be more successful in mathematics and in life.
